Welcome to the Rejection Gym!
I’m so excited you’re here! The reason I created this course was to walk you through the same 100 day rejection journey that changed my life. I can’t wait for you to get started in all of the video lessons and “reps” (more about this in a minute) I created for you, but first let’s go through some of the basics of what this course is all about.
First of all, why is this called a gym?
After my 100 day journey to conquering rejection, I quickly realized that courage was like a muscle and if I didn’t use it, I’d lose it really fast. I found myself wanting to go out and continue to seek rejections and I found doing these small and manageable rejection attempts helped keep me feeling fearless.
In this process I realized how life-changing the idea of “courage muscle” could be if I could teach others how to do the same thing with their own fears. The end result? You’re here! The Rejection Gym! A place for you to work out your courage muscle, become fearless, and conquer the world.
What can you expect from me?
In this course I’ve created 14 in depth video lessons to walk you through everything I know about how to conquer your fear of rejection. Each of these videos runs 5-15 minutes and are heavy in content. I would recommend watching them more than once, as it takes time to really absorb the content. The last four of these lessons are strictly application lessons such as how to become fearless in sales, public speaking, entrepreneurship, or landing your dream job using the principles I’ve outlined in this course.
To make the content easier to take in, I’ve also included key takeaways in text formats (As you watch these lessons, remember that English is my second language).
In addition to the content already packed into the video lessons, Rejection Gym will be an iterative course, meaning I will be adding content on a reoccurring basis. This is the Beta launch, so if you feel there is a lesson missing shoot an email to Gym@fearbuster.com and while I can’t promise to include it, I will certainly love to hear the feedback.
What will be required of you?
First of all, in this course you will get out of it what you put in. I know you’ve heard that before, but it’s more true in here than ever.
In addition to working through one weekly lesson, I’ve created a workout regimen for you to carry out daily. In the 100 Days of Rejection tab here you will see 100 rejection attempts. Your job is to go out and perform one rejection attempt, or “rep” as we are calling them, per day. Each rejection rep should only take anywhere from a few seconds to half an hour, and afterward you should record your experience in a journal.
For each rejection rep, you’ll answer these questions:
- What happened?
- How you felt?
- What did you learn?
After writing down these takeaways, make sure and share them with our online community. Join in our online Rejection Gym Facebook group to share! After signing up you should have received a link to the Facebook group, if you haven’t already please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Just like working out, the rejection reps are the secret sauce to what I will be teaching here in Rejection Gym. Yes, you might learn more about conquering the fear of rejection by listening to all of the lessons I’ve created for you. However, if you decide to go “all in” and carry out each of these reps to the best of your ability while supplementing your experience with lessons from me, this course has the potential to change your life. I know it because this same process has changed mine from a feeble guy to someone who speaks on stage, has written a book, and isn’t afraid to ask for anything.
The entire purpose of this course is to push you outside of your comfort zone. We don’t walk into the gym one day, spend a couple hours lifting, and then walk out looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s going to take time, energy, and a lot of uncomfortable rejection attempts to make you feel feel invincible!
I promise it’s possible. I’ve done it, and on the other side of discomfort is possibility and your dreams. But first, you will have to face a bit of rejection.
How long should this course take you?
I know we all have lives outside of this course, this is why I was very intentional on making the rejection reps easy to implement in your daily life, even amidst the chaos.
Your daily time commitment: 30 minutes
Breakdown of time spent weekly:
- Watching, taking notes from weekly lesson (15 minutes)
- Performing daily rejection reps (20-30 minutes)
- Writing daily journal entries and sharing them with Facebook group (5-10 minute)
Where do I start?
